Training

Word Photography prides itself in staying up-to-date on the latest trends in photography, weddings, equipment, props, poses etc. To stay on top of things, Linda and her staff attend seminars, workshops, classes and one-on-one instruction from the different photographic associations we are members of. As stated under "Photographers", Linda is a PPA Certified Photographer and there are requirements in continuing education for her to maintain this certification.

One of our favorite conventions is the annual Wedding and Portrait Photographers International (WPPI). WPPI consists of 6 days of seminars, album and print competitions and trade shows. We are learning from the top photographers in the country and seeing the latest in equipment, albums, props, and photographic style.

Some other classes that we attend is the annual Texas Professional Photographers Association (TPPA) held in Kerrville, Texas where there are classes daily as well as more print and album competitions. Texas School of Professional Photography is a weeklong class held in Dallas TX. where you have more seminars and lots of "hands-on" training.

We could go on and on with the training and learning experiences that we have, but one that we attend every month is held here in Houston and is the monthly meeting of the Professional Photographers Guild of Houston (PPGH). Again, there is one speaker each month and more album and print competitions.

If a photographer does not stay up-to-date, then he will fall behind and blend in with the other photographers that do not stay current.

Linda is a member of numerous professional photography organizations including

• Professional Photographers of America (PPA),
• Texas Professional Photographers Association (TPPA),
• Professional Photographers Guild of Houston (PPGH),
• Wedding and Portrait Photographers International (WPPI).

Feel confident knowing that we have the experience, knowledge and professionalism to make your wedding day and portrait images as beautiful as you are.   Through the fellowship we have with other professional photographers within these local, state and national organizations, we will always have a competent photographer available to assist or step in if needed for wedding coverage.
